The Cape of Good Hope is the most South Western point of the African continent and the place where two mighty oceans (Indian and Atlantic) meet. Probably the most scenic and rugged portion of our drive around the cape. There is a funicular up to the lighthouse and paths to some of the most beautiful photo ops of the trip. A must visit drive if you are looking to get outside of Cape Town.
Easily one of my favorite parts of this South African trip and our drive around the Cape was our stop at Boulder’s Beach right outside of Simon’s Town. The beach is home to a large colony of jack-ass penguins that are so damn cute you could watch them waddling around all day long.
