Even though I have already listed the Eiffel Tower, this is a totally different and amazing experience that I would recommend to anyone visiting Paris. And, although there is a limited menu, the food was fresh and delicious but the real treat was the unbeatable view of the city. This was actually my second trip to Paris and the Arc de Triomphe. The first time in 2002, I actually did climb the 284 steps to the top for a great view of the city. Due to time constraints and a dinner reservation at The Eiffel Tower, we did not go up on this trip. If you have it in you…definitely take the climb!
We walked up and down the Champs-Elysees and although we didn’t shop (who could afford anything), it was a great place to people watch and I can check it off of my bucket list.
We didn’t have the time to go inside but found the outside beautiful and bustling with locals as well as tourists. We sat and rested for a bit, took some photos and then headed off for our whirlwind day in Paris.
On a whirlwind 24 hours in Paris, we tried to cram in all of the most visited stops. Paris’ iconic Eiffel Tower was obviously on the top of the list.
