18. The Statue of Liberty & Ellis Island – New York, NY

17. Times Square – New York City

Although I’m from Chicago, a big bustling city of about the same size, I was a bit surprised at how different New York City was from Chicago.  The pace much faster, the people much less friendly and the cost of everything about doubled. While I had a great time while I was there and saw all the major attractions, I don’t really feel the need to return any time soon.  

16. Niagara Falls – Buffalo, NY

Most people seem to prefer the Canadian side of the Niagara Falls, I actually preferred the US side. The Canadian side was a bit too commercial with a carnival feel while the US side seemed more focused on the nature and parklike atmosphere.  While there, I stayed at the Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino with a corner room and would highly recommend it.
