Sedona has a world-wide reputation as a spiritual mecca and global power spot. The vortexes of Sedona are named because they are believed to be spiritual locations where the energy is right to facilitate prayer, mediation and healing. I can’t really speak to that but it sure is awe inspiring when you first see the massive red rock formations. While there we stayed at L’Auberge Sedona in a creekside cabin and that alone was a spiritual experience. Located down a tiny road off of the main jip strip, you would never even know the place was there if the GPS didn’t guide you there. A nightly cheese and wine tasting are a nice compliment and the restaurant on site was very, very good. Probably our favorite part though was the smell of the burning juniper wood in our cabin’s fireplace at night. We very much enjoyed our days climbing and hiking in Oak Creek Canyon. There is so much to see and do in and around Sedona and I’d like to return some day.
