The Pike Place Market has been on my bucket list for quite some time.  I love going to farmers markets back home but this goes above and beyond any I’ve been to and was a feast for the senses. The fresh cut flowers were my favorite but unfortunately we couldn’t buy any as we were not staying long enough.  I’m quite sure if I lived in the area that a good portion of my paycheck would be spent on them as well as all the fresh fruit, veg and seafood.  I had read prior to going that the crowds were terrible and that it was very touristy.  We went first thing in the morning mid-week so the crowds weren’t that bad, and I wouldn’t call it touristy but a Seattle icon.  Just a really great way to spend the day!  Must have while there:  The clam chowder.  Must do while there:  Watch the Throwing of the Fish.
