This is a fairly well preserved castle in an impressive location. Unfortunately it is NOT well sign posted and not very easy to find (we drove past it the first time-just look for two small white posts off of A85).  There is a small dirt parking area and from there the castle is just a short flat walk.  Admission is free and there are no facilities but you are able to wander freely through the inside of the castle ruins and from the upper floors the view of Loch Awe and surrounding mountains is amazing.  I’m surprised that this castle is not more popular-on the day we visited we were the only ones there which was fine by me and made for some great photos.  Overall, I liked this castle more than some of the more popular ones we visited and would recommend a stop for anyone in the area.
