In downtown Cleveland, Ohio between Prospect and Euclid Avenues, is East Fourth Street the city’s most vibrant entertainment and residential district. We were pleasantly surprised to find it within walking distance from our hotel The Holiday Inn Express Cleveland Downtown. This hotel was also a pleasant surprise and I would highly recommend it not only for its location but as a really cool place to stay. The hotel itself was converted from a 19th century bank building and the rooms were huge with wood flooring, high ceilings and contemporary decor. Anyhow, East Fourth was a great place to eat and heavily drink my way through my birthday celebration. It was a GREAT day in a GREAT place and if you find yourself in Cleveland, definitely plan an evening eating and drinking (or even bowling) your way through East Fourth Street!

I even met Andrew Zimmern from the The Travel Channel’s Bizarre Foods who was filming an episode at The Greenhouse Tavern of their popular dish-an entire cured pigs head. Take a look here…..  http://www.cleveland.com/cooking/index.ssf/2013/12/travel_channels_andrew_zimmern.html . You can see he is wearing the same shirt as in our picture together.
