Capitol Reef was one of the places we had planned to stop that I didn’t know a lot about and wasn’t that excited to see. But my bucket list item of visiting every National Park in the US warranted a stop at the visitor center with my National Parks Passport. We had planned on just stopping there, getting the stamp, and then heading out but it was such a beautiful day and the park and the colors against the brilliant blue sky were absolutely stunning (actually one of my favorite photos of the entire trip was taken there) so we spent more time there than we anticipated. Again, I wish we had our hiking boots so we were limited to what we could see from the road. Maybe someday we will do the entire Grand Circle again by car complete with proper hiking gear.
